Sharks Victory 66-12

In a near faultless display of clinical accuracy, the Sharks dissected the Griquas to return to the top of the Absa Currie Cup log and ensure they will play their remaining games of the tournament at home.

Apart from a short period going into the final quarter when the visitors got their tales up following a brace of tries after it had all gone horribly wrong for them, there was really only one team in it as the Sharks scored a convincing 66-12 victory.

Although the Sharks lamented their impatience on attack against the Lions last week, this week there was no problem as they raced into an unassailable lead playing their exciting brand of running rugby that heralded 10 glorious tries and doubled the 33 first half-points by the end of the game.

The Sharks had scored the bonus point try in under 25 minutes as they signaled their intentions early and never took their feet off the accelerator as they continued to hammer away mercilessly at a game, but totally outplayed Griquas.

With the match and log points sewn up early in the game, the Sharks may well have taken things easy, but they continued their devastating ruthlessness as they dominated a game that was never in any doubt.
